IT’S HERE
You asked for it. I spent all weekend creating a Social Media Content Calendar Template is finally here in your inbox. I hope you find it useful. This template is specifically designed for 2021 and is separated by month and platform. My goal is that these suggestions will inspire you if you’re ever stuck writing social media captions.
“Social media will help you build up loyalty of your current customers to the point that they will willingly, and for free, tell others about you.” Bonnie Sainsbury
How to use the social media calendar:
- Click on the link below to access the template
- Upper right hand corner, click on “COPY BASE”
- Create a free Airtable account if you don’t already have one.
- After you’ve created a free account, you should be able to edit the spreadsheet to your business/organization’s needs.
- Spreadsheet will auto-group your captions by social media platform (see video)
- In the NOTES column, I’ve suggested some content. Write your caption under the “Social Post” column and use “Attachments” for your graphics/photos.
- After you’ve added your captions, you can toggle to the calendar view to get a full month overview (see video).
- Use this video for a quick rundown of how to use the spreadsheet.
- If you have questions, feel free to email me back!
Friendly reminder, this does not replace social media strategy, but will hopefully trigger some ideas and most importantly, a rhythm. Consistency is step one in social media. If you’d like to chat more about strategy and implementation, I’m available – click here.
Find a writing rhythm that works for you. I work on social media captions one month in advance (In January, I am writing for February). All the holidays are listed in this calendar, so you will know what’s coming up and can research in advance.
Lastly, don’t forget that engagement is king. You have the content, but don’t forget to follow up and respond with heartfelt comments.
